Welcome to Valley Forge Squadron’s Website

Cadets,
Great job at Flagship. We received tenth out of twenty-two! Not bad, considering we were missing seven Cadets. I’m very pleased and you should be as well. Please check out the calendar to see what we have in store going forward.
I have also posted information on a great tutor who can tutor in all math subjects. Please utilize him as much as possible if you are struggling with a math topic. He is very dedicated to his clients and stays until you understand the material. He comes very highly recommended.
Here is a list of things that you, as Cadets of Valley Forge Squadron need to work on:
Course Work: Everyone should be turning in AT LEAST one assignment every Drill. If you had a problem with the BMR initially, please hurry and finish so that you can move on. If you have not completed an assignment before Drill, you should still come to Drill. The first responsibility of a Cadet is to attend Drill.
Reporting in On Time: Please be checking your email regularly. If you check your email once every couple of days, there should be no reason for late responses to the Drill Orders. We also have a website that has the Drill Schedule so if you have a job, you should be requesting time off to accommodate the Drill Schedule. I’ve also been emailing information on upcoming events that the Cadets aren’t necessarily required to participate in but the emails contain good information for the Cadets to know about. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!! Drill Orders will be sent in the next couple of days for March 27-28.
If you commit to something, commit 100% of yourself to it. If you say you are going to be at Drill, BE AT DRILL and DO NOT EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE EARLY!
We will be collecting report cards on the 27-28 March Drill and will be collecting them going forward.
So that you ALL know, in the future overnight Drills, 3-5 Cadets will be assigned a Blue Jacket report or a Current Event report. These will be short reports that will be presented in front of the unit. The Cadets who don’t turn in course work or who show up late or who do poorly during morning inspection will be getting the reports. Do well, and you will not be assigned a report.
We will also begin having watch. This will occur during our next overnight Drill and will be explained in detail as to how it will occur. This is another item that will be assigned to those Cadets who aren’t doing as well as they should.

Upcoming Trainings:
The summer Two Week Trainings have been posted on the National Website. I will also be sending out emails or posting information on the website details about training that may or may not be posted online. If you have any questions, please email the CO or the XO.
Please check the Calendar Page to view the changes made to our schedule.

Parents,
I will be constantly updating the website to be more informative for you. There are two updates that are important for you to look at. There is a link in the Related Links Page that is called Request Chit. This is so that you may order new items and see the cost. The other new update is the Cadet Unit Manual. Please review with your Cadet so that there is a full understanding by you and your Cadet. My goal for this website is to make it an effective portal for you to peer in to check on the unit and to utilize for important documents for you to download for trainings, uniforms and uniform items. Have a great month of March and don’t hesitate to email or call me if you have any questions!
